I personally have no talent what so ever in games like these. But I've tried it anyways and it was quite exciting for sure. I've heard that there's many teams in second life and that there is contests too.
Anyways Here are some notes featured by there page regarding of this game:
SIMBALL GAMEPLAY:
Note: These boards are used with any public SimBall Arena Kit (sold separately).
* The game is a simulated Ball & Goal sport with a sci-fi Simboarding combat.
* The object of the game is to score more points than the opposing team and combat opponents with specialized board abilities.
* Dodge and attack opponents, use your energy and skills wisely, avoid losing the ball and make goals to score.
* There is no physical ball. The server tracks who has what and when.
* A game can be preset to 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes.
Games can be ran by anyone and do not require management for simple friendly games.
* Direct Hosting: The first player to click the server will host the game and may also play.
A non-playing host, or referee, is only ideal for official games where prizes may be involved.
TEAM PLAY:
* Players may form quick teams with 2 – 6 players. Up to 3 per team. Or create in depth team and plan their own game strategy.
* Quick 1 on 1 match can be played simply by having 1 person per team.
Strategy:
* Each board type has it's own special passive ability and/or power. Many boards compliment each other when used well in team play.
* Voice chat or SL conferencing can be used to communicate quickly within a team to keep up with fast game play.
* Strategic play is formed with dedicated team members that focus on certain board setups and methods of play.
You may go to there SIM to play this but you can also buy their kit and make your own arena too. I was asked to make a arena for this game and so I did.
This was quite a challenge since I have no knowledge in this game or any kind of games in second life. First I had to try it out myself to see how it is. Then I needed to obsreve and research how the ramps are made and used. I thought that it was simple one prim ramp but no, it was actually made by many pieces of prims stucked together in a calculated angle... Noo lol
The only problem is that I can't leave it in my land as a demo for everyone to see, because of the prim it uses andthe size.
